“ The food is always great--love the spicy chopped salad and a piece of pie and a beverage. ”
“ Best pizza in chicago hands down, dope atmosphere during winter and summer, amazing service always!! ”
“ I meant to write the review sooner while it was still in my mind, but I have every intention of going back again so I'll add pictures then. A friend and I stopped by after going to The Brown Elephant down the street. Outside seating obviously closed for the winter, but I'm sure it's very pretty during the warmer months. That being said, it was nearly full (as expected for dinnertime on the weekend), but we got lucky and got a seat as people were leaving. Waiter was quite nice! ~ Cordial, asked if it was our first time there etc. etc. There were so many pizzas I wanted to try but just opted to get two different larges and take the rest home for leftovers. (Neither of us were particularly hungry but knew we should eat something). Pizzas came out pretty quick? Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention to how much time passed, but I didn't feel like we waited that long. The Bianca and Borgata are truly two of the best pizzas I've ever had??? Again, I was NOT hungry at the time, but I wanted to keep eating despite my stomach truly being way past capacity. My friend, who is really keeping himself on a strict diet, had an extra slice despite knowing he was over his calories (and he's so on the ball with his diet, I was surprised he caved.) I brought the leftovers home to my boyfriend, and we devoured that so quick - I was so sad as I was heating up the last few slices. I literally can't wait to go again. I didn't try any alcohol or any of the appetizers, so I can't speak to their quality. I think I saw some reviews mention some of the pizza essentially being overpriced cheese pizzas, which I guess? Maybe? At the same time though, when I think about large pizzas from other chain restaurants, they're basically the same price but aren't NEARLY as good as these two pizzas were. (For example, I absolutely love Lou Malnati's Deep Dish, and while these two are very different styles of pizzas which makes comparing them a little difficult, I can see myself ordering from Pizza Lobo more often than Lou Malnati's). Vibe-wise ~ I'm personally not really big on the bustling bar, shout-to-hear-people-sitting-right-next to-you atmosphere, but I know some people are, so if that's your thing, this place is perfect (especially on weekends). I'm sure it's even busier during the summer with the patio and what looked like an outdoor game area? Looked like bocce maybe? On our way out, our waiter (Gil? Gail? It was hard to hear him tell us his name over the noise even though we were already outside) chased us to give us a bag to carry our leftovers. We were totally fine just carrying the two small boxes that we had stuffed our leftovers into, but he apologized for not getting to us sooner - said that he got so busy he didn't have the chance to get to us, but then he saw us leaving and was very sorry. Super appreciated the extra effort! Can't wait to go back! Can't decide if I'll get the same thing, or if should try something new ~ ”
“ VERY good pizza that you can either get by the slice or order a whole pie. I went with a group to watch RPDR which they have a section for viewing on Friday nights and it was a blast. Loved the hosting queens and food/drink service was super prompt. I'm not one to love QR ordering, but it was such a breeze here even with the free for all seating. I really can't understate how good the pizza was. I don't think it counts as a true "New York slice" bc the size isn't gargantuan like I think is the signature of the style, but that would be the closest way I could describe it. Excellent greasy slice that hits the spot without being so greasy you're wearing it. Major slay ”
“ Finally tried this place after working a couple blocks away for 4 years, glad I did! Their pizza was good, but the wings were gooood. I also love that they have so many food and drink specials throughout the week like $1 wings!! Their patio area is also really nice and spacious. Family, kid, and dog friendly. ”
“ It's another case where why haven't we been here sooner. However, we finally stopped for lunch last Sunday and we still can't stop telling people about Pizza Lobo. We wanted to order all of the slices to try them all but we did the sausage, pepperoni, the Burrata and some breakfast special slice. All were amazing in their own fashion. I do agree with some of the reviews about the lack of sauce on these slices. It would be nice to go a tad heavier on the sauce however maybe they purposely do that by offering other side sauces. We did love the crush as it was a nice combo of crisp and doughy. Oh and that Spicy Chopped Salad! it was sooo good with that jalapeños in it! The service was great and theres a part of your experience where you get your own flatware, water and busing after you're done that we were fine with. We did love the outdoor patio with several firepits and blankets offered! We'd come back for that! One other note is there are really no options for kids other than water. No milk, no kinds of juices so bring your own bevs for them if you don't want soda or water. Paid parking is across the street so no problem there. Finally if you go, make sure you eat there and enjoy your experience. You may do a disservice to yourself if you get it to go. ”
“ Pizza Lobo is pretty darn delish! It's a thin crust normal/triangle cut large slice pizza spot. I've had some booooomb pizza creations here featuring vodka sauce, pesto, ricotta, and some real yummy pepperonis. This location is right off Clark St in Andersonville and has an enormous patio right in the front which is so fun on a nice day. I love that you can conveniently order from the QR codes on each table and that everyone can have their own tab. It makes going with a group so much easier! I really wanted to try their special bolognese pizza I slice I saw on Instagram this week but looks like I missed out! That's okay, I'll just have to go back again (and again and again)! ”
“ I cannot wait to go back to Pizza Lobo, it was such an awesome experience and I'm positive there are not many places that could recreate it. First, the outdoor area is a perfect spot to sit with friends, have a few drinks, eat some solid food, and watch the weekend pass by. I love the easy to use menu, the fast service, and the non-attitude that prevails. The pizza and drinks were all incredible - I'm sure the minimal things I got are only a sample of the greatness that prevails on the menu. By the late afternoon, it did get pretty packed inside, so beware you may have to wait for a seat..but, it's worth it. ”
“ Absolutely spacious and open patio in the front. Ideal for summer and spring. Dog friendly outside. Fire pits to stay cozy and warm at night. My wife and I came by for drinks after dinner so we didn't get to sample their food, but the experience was absolutely delightful. Will definitely be coming back with our dog to enjoy the patio. Street parking, no reservations required. ”
